Subject: update on situation at ISM
Hi guys,
This is Jojo Guingona.
I have made the transition from being an ISM alumni to becoming an ISM
parent. People, our alma mater is in a state of calamity right now. I
was at a meeting at the campus this afternoon and 199 faculty and staff
out of a total of 267 have announced that they are going to have "no work"
days and are willing to help the parents in the current effort to oust
the present Board of Trustees. The teachers are doing this at great risk
to their own future since they can all be summarily dismissed for their
actions. The strength of their conviction is a testament to the distaste
they have towards the present Board and their unwillingness to work with
certain members of the same.
For those of you who
are not abreast of the goings on at ISM, the newly elected Board of Trustees
has taken it upon themselves to micro manage the school's day to day activities.
They fired and bodily escorted the School Superintendent off the campus.
I implore those of you
have kids at ISM or who know people who have children at ISM to tell them
to get involved. I would hate to see our alma mater, albeit a different
campus, fall victim to a few power hungry individuals who have lost the
sense of the greater good and are too proud to acknowledge that they have
lost the trust and credibility and therefore the moral ascendancy to remain
in the Board of Trustees.
