Subject: Concern of a fomer student
Hi,
I am a former student of ISM. My family
moved away 3 years ago due to a new posting. Recently, I have heard about
the ongoings at my former school. I am extremely stunned that matters
have turned out this way. As I do not understand the exact circumstances
of what has happened, I am not in a position to comment.
However, seeing ISM in the state truly
disheartens me. I studied at this prestigious school for 8 good years
and indeed I believe that it has given me a great foundation to my education.
The reputation, prestige and honor this school has built up since its
beginning is tremendous, and it would be a pity if this was destroyed
within these few days.
The school's only function is to educate
its students. Decisions made by the school should serve in the interests
of the students, no question about it. Hopefully, the board should recognize
that it has lost most if not all of its support from the faculty as well
as the students. Therefore, I urge the board to act quickly to remedy
the situation. If indeed resigning is the best option, then so be it.
Ultimately, it is the students that will suffer the most. The future of
the students is at stake here. Whatever decisions are made should benefit
the interests of the students and hopefully, the board will not send a
wrong signal to them. I truly hope that this problem will be resolved
as soon as possible and that normalcy will return. Hope this little contribution
helps.
With regards,
a concerned former student
